Domestic/International Indicator

Definition

An indicator showing the classification of the relationship between the given Airport or FlightLeg and another airport, with respect to national borders or designated travel areas.

Allowed values

The following values are predefined:

  • 'D' - Domestic, both departure and arrival airport is in the same country.

  • 'I' - International.

  • 'S' - Schengen", both departure and arrival airport is in the Schengen area, but not domestic.

  • 'C' - CTA, Common Travel Area, used by UK and Irish airports.

  • 'T' - Transborder, refers to travel, transport, or operations that cross the national border between the United States and Canada.

Other system specific values are allowed.

Comments

NB! What is considered domestic and international will vary between airports in different areas. The DIIndicator is a relative indication and not absolute.
